What are the chances I'll acquire HIV or hepatitis A or C?

I am a 24 year old virgin (no sexual activity of any kind including kissing), who doesn't date, use drugs, or work in the medical field.

Slim to none. There is always the possibility of contracting something from a tatoo or piercing if the instruments aren't sterilized properly or if you were exposed to an infected person's blood and had an open cut or something. I don't think you need to spend any time worrying about these things though. Barring some freaky thing happening you are safe. And there is no way to control everything. You could be killed in a car but you still ride in one right? No worries here hon.

Have you ever had a blood transfusion before 1992? Have you ever shared a razor with someone? Or a toothbrush? Have you ever had a tattoo or piercing? Does your mother have Hepatitis B or C? All of these are risk factors for Hepatitis B and C, so if any of these things have occurred, you are at risk. As for Hepatitis A; it is transmitted through contaminated food by someone who is infected & prepares the food, but doesn't wash their hands after a BM. That is a risk factor for Hep A. There is a vaccine for Hep A & B, but not for C. Hope this explains things better. If you're not sure, get tested. Best wishes.

You have no chance of catching HIV.

As far as hepatitis, you can get hepatitis A from anywhere, even a drinking fountain or contaminated food. You can only get hepatitis C from direct blood contact. There are currently vaccines for hep. A and B, and you should get them.

Slim to none at all. You could try kissing and hugging I doubt that you will acquire HIV, hepatitis A or C but you may feel a heck of alot better.....wishing you some fun out of life. Hugs
