The fence is a good thing! It is not the end all solution but part of the solution. The border must be secured the only way to do that is with a fence, boots on the ground and technology combined to make it as secure as possible! It actually should be more like a wall than a fence.

Hit the nail on the head again. The fence must be put up and someone needs to tell President Bush and the Congrss that voted for amnesty to look at what it did for San Diego cutting crime and illegal immigration. The police could actually stop and eat a donut for a change for the first time in 20 years.
I feel it will upset the powerful rich drug dealers that own many of our elected officials and also maybe some of the drug addicts, but they will be helped. Don't forget about the people that make fake ids, that's abig business and the tax dodging business owners will be upset that they will hae to pay a liitle more and not make as much profit, they may have to wait on that European vacation or that plane, you never know. They can 1099 and pay taxes will buy body armor for our troops.
We have a double problem people coming here for decades and people using them and destroying and outsourcing America. Best thing is to let the people that ar on welfare and can work, give them a job and allow them to have their dignity back.
Great question as ususal. Take care.
Great idea about pulling down the other fences, let them see how it is to be raped, robbed, ....., the fince might be up in know time. By lthe way have the deomcrats paid Bush. jHe can save face by putting up the fence. If a democrat gets in and after what Clinton did about the anti hijacking airline regualtion, no telling what will happen.
But you have to think if they are catching 1 in 7 fro terror countries coming in, then how many are here now waiting for the call to attack-a million and don't let them forget the visa stayers.

Fences are great, good fences make good neighbors. Too bad the people in Mexico think they are the only ones that work in the USA. It's sort of funny though. The US didn't get to be such a great nation because of illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants built this nation, and natives. Not illegal immigrants. And another thing, if illegal immigrants are such workers, why is Mexico such a pathetic economy? Oh yeah, because they aren't all they claim to be in Mexico. They say they are the best workers but if they were, they wouldn't be working for less than minimum wage anywhere. It's just weak propaganda. I can outwork and have outworked, continue to outwork immigrants from Mexico on a daily basis. While they are still huffing it, I'm working my way up because I exert effort, more than the minimum.

That fence will say a lot about how we feel about illegal aliens. We don't want them here or need them here and perhaps it will cause the US government to actually patrol it without tieing the hands of it's agents. I'm all for it. Mexico sure keeps it's southern borders tight, doesn't it? Does that tell you something? Me, too!

I can't believe anything Bush and his cohorts say. He has distorted everything; our Bill of Rights, our civil rights, our privacy and has illegally gone against what the majority of citizens want. Why shouldn't he do the same thing here. Congress votes to trash, Bush the bum, will deviously find a way to overturn.

I honestly think it is wasting our tax dollars. I mean these people, if smart will wind up building a high ladder. I believe we should of come up with like censors, or electric fence, I don't know. I mean I don't have anything against immigrants, but these people don't realize that they are risking their lives. The women are getting raped, and drugs are being smuggled in right along with them. These people are endangering their lives. I wish this fence would not only protect us but them as well. This fence I believe will not do.

There is no point in building a fence along the US Mexican border. American and Canadian tourists will find a way to sneak through to their sun spots.
Did I misunderstand your question?

Fences are built to keep people honest. Seems like there is a huge need to keep our southern border friends honest.
