I have already posted a questions saying my cat is possessed. ALot of answers are telling me to get him fixed, which I did, get him a playmate which I did, he has a scratching post and he has toys, but he keeps doing what hes not alowed to do and he runs around frantic as fast as he can, jumping on and off things in seconds and scratching it do death, esspecially my brand new bed.I have been accused of being a bully for trying to diciplin him, holding him on the floor by his scruff is supossed to be what his mother did. I try to nurture him, hed rather run around nuts, and he likes to cry alot, at nothing like hes tortured, he stares at the wall and just cries. Im out of answers, he just had bloodwork which is all normal, so I did take him to the vet. I just want himto be more affectionate and calm down, I thought fixing did that? I don't know how to diciplen him, he doesn't take me serious I guess, I give him treats, I try to clip his nails too which he HATES, & reward afteter. Help?

With the symptoms you have mentioned, its seems as though if could be fleas, You could try Advantage(or a similar product for cats(the product that you put in the back of his neck, very easy) or Hertz flea collar............Try and see if this works, read the directions to see how long before it starts to become effective( can't get impatient)....

Ah - it really, really sounds like your cat is just being a normal cat! They have a lot of energy, and what might seem crazy to us is just normal cat behaviour really. Granted the staring at the wall thing and meowing is more unusual - so maybe your cat is a bit 'special' but I don't think it's anything to worry about, honest!!

Mothers don't hold fully grown cats down by their scruffs, because mothers do not stay with fully grown cats by nature. They only discipline up to like, a few months of age after that the cats are on their own to do whatever they want.

Did the vets think there was any reason to be worried about your cat? Because it really sounds like you've just got one of many, many 'crazy' cats - my friend's cat is 1 and a half and still does the wall of death nightly, attacks feet etc, it's quite astonishing.

OK, neutering does not necessarily calm an animal down. You're supposed to neuter them for their own health (and how can you stand the smell of an intact male's urine??) and to prevent him getting out and impregnating another cat, but don't expect it to calm a cat down. It only removes sexually orientated behaviour, it doesn't alter personality. Is this cat allowed outside by the way? Would probably help him burn off some of that energy!

Sorry if you wanted calm, affectionate cat, but you got a crazy one. Learn to love him for what he is!

It DOES sound like your cat is normal, Depending on the cats breed, it may be a little more playful than others.
Tabbys&Calicos are ecspecially playful.

Maybe your cat expects too much from you, as if he has taken advantage of you, and thats why he wont obey you.
Train your cat while you give him treats, make him earn them.

And for the scratching, whenever you catch him in the act, bring him to the spot where he scratched, make him look at it give him a light spank and yell no to him
and eventually he will understand.

he is young, and he isnt even an adult cat yet.
you may just need time.

Have you tried Feliway? It is a natural pheremone that is supposed to calm cats. If necessary there is always Prozac (really I'm serious, ask your vet)

... how old is your cat? I think once the cat get older, he will calm down....

maybe you should try Feliway? It is an odorless cat pheromone that suppose to calm the cat down.... I would also consult your vet to see if anything else you can do...
