LOL good question but the fact is an orange from the tree i more yellow than orange. They dye them to make them a nice even orange color.
Now why is Passion Fruit called Passion Fruit?

I would guestarize that they had named all the other fruits, and when they got to the orange, they did not have a name for it, so they kept it simple, and called it an orange because it was orange. (smile) Cheers to you!

They couldn't be ars*d by the time the naming ceremony had got to the orange. All the other names had been taken and they needed to get to the pub. When the bloke in charge asked his assistant what colour it was he decided that it would be fine. He was later fired from the item naming council for laziness.

Peach, Lime, Lemon, Cherry, Red Apple, Green Apple, blueberry... But don't forget water (Aqua). If you go to different country's they have other fruit.
