Do red light cameras occur mostly at intersections instead of isolated areas?

Just curious.

Why would there be a red light where there was no intersection?

The only case of that I could think of would be the metering lights on freeway on ramps. And, there would BE no such metering light on a ramps in an isolated area. No traffic jam, no light.

red lights happen at intersections, and therefore red light cameras are there too

If there is no intersection, there is NO TRAFFIC LIGHT!!!!!
