I discovered about a week ago that my cat had a very small wound on his upper leg, (about the size of a penny). It doesn't appear to be open, or draining anything, nor does it appear to bother him, as he has continued his normal daily life. However, today, I noticed that the wound has gotten bigger (about the size of a nickel). Again, it does not appear to be be open, draining, or smelling. He will even let me touch it. He cleans it alot, which has caused the fur to not be there, but I am worried that it may be something internally. He has never had any health problems before, and he is TOTALLY an inside cat...he won't even go outside because he's scared of everything (he has lived a very sheltered life, lol)! The only other thing I can think of is maybe he got bitten by something (he loves to chase and eat bugs if they get into the house), or maybe he has just chewed at it because of an irritation. Any suggestions would be helpful before I plan a trip to the vet. Thanks so much!

It sounds like you should make that trip to the Vet. This wound could be caused by a number of things. Your Vet will have the correct answer and the correct solution to care for this problem.

Since it doesn't appear to be "open, draining", and doesn't seem to be bothering him, it probably is not a wound.....just where he's licked the hair off! Sometimes cats, especially males, for some reason, will stress about something and start licking their fur off. I have one that does that to the extent of finally making a sore that I have to put meds on. It will then scab up, after that, since he doesn't like the taste of the meds. One thing you could try is....go to Petsmart, or some other pet store, and get some BITTER APPLE spray. Spray that on the place where he's licked the hair off. He won't like the taste of the Bitter Apple, and will leave it alone long enough for the hair to grow back. You'll probably have to respray every day for awhile, so the hair has a chance to grow. I have a mama cat who carried the ringworm fungus in her saliva. No sign of it on her, but wherever she licked her kittens, they'd get ringworm. When I put a fungus med on the sores, and sprayed the Bitter Apple all around the surrounding hair, she left those places alone, and the hair all grew back. No lingering signs of sores!! Try it....Good Luck.

YOU CAN TAKE HIM TO THE VET! That's how you can "help." By accepting personal and financial responsibility for the welfare of your cat. It is his RIGHT by law to receive proper care and to deny it is abuse. Just because he never had any health problems before doesn't mean he couldn't have one now! (Where is the logic and common sense? Sheesh!)

TO THE VET!

I dont understand any breeders yet examine the guidelines on your state. some states will in easy words enable complete blooded American Indians or those with over 50% blood of yankee Indian personal wolf hybrids. Wold hybrids are categorised below diverse dogs guidelines than commonplace dogs so your state would no longer enable you to personal one merely examine and discover out.
