OK I know people say if people stare at you that means they are interested in you or something. OK in this one class I like this girl who looks at me but then there are a few others looking at me. One of the girls staring is that girl's friend and the others I dunno.

How do I respond to girls stares if I don't like them back? Do I look back and smile? I'm afraid if I smile back they will think I like them when I actually like someone else and I don't wanna hurt them. So what to do? Do I only smile to my crush or everyone? Thanks for reading.

Get together with the girl that you like and the staring will come to an end.

The rest of them can't read your mind!

Let them see how close you are or want to be with this girl and they won't stare anymore. Right now, they all think you're available and are trying to figure you out.

If you smile back at them, you'll be misleading, and when you crush them later you'll only seem conceited.

Just be a nice person overall. Smile casually and don't "direct" it at any one.

And by all means, pursue that girl you like. I mean, what are you waiting for?

Just give the other girls a half-hearted smile, but give ur crush an interested type wink and smile.
We like it when u surprise us by being opened of ur feelings 4 us. In other words, "Go get her, she's waiting 4 u".
U need 2 understand we don't catch or chase u guys, "u guys r suppose 2. Don't b shy, or we'll know u r wimpy. "Get out there with guts and don't worry what others think."

They are the ones that are looking at you, so it is fair that you return the scan with a salutation. This person is interested in you in some form or another or else they wouldn't be staring at you. Something about you is capturing this persons attention and interest. Say hi or wave, and then go about your business.

Your smile or wave basically puts the ball in her corner, now she has to make the next move.

I would honetly just smile back but make sure if you do it to the thers do it to everyone or someone will think you have a crush on certain ones! So just smile back and if they get te wrong idea be sure to tell them the truth 'you smile at everyone' or hopefully before they say anything they will notice you smile at everyone anyway not just them!
Good luck x

Smile at your crush and her friends. That way not only will you encourage her, but you'll be in her friends good graces. But don't be rude to the other girls either, just don't smile as big towards them. =)

Smile at everyone. Be nice to everyone. It's not like you need to ever be rude. If you have a crush on someone, you need to talk to her, not just smile.

If a girl stares at you she could like you or could just be spacing out. You should have a casual conversation with her not letting her know you saw her staring at you. If you like her and she seems interested with you ask her out.

When boys stare at me and I don't like them, I glance at them for 1-2 seconds and look away. [:

I don't smile and I don't give them dirty looks. I just kind of.. glance at them emotionlessly, I guess you could say. It usually gets the message across without being too mean. <3

It's OK to smile back. That doesn't mean that you're interested in them. You need to make it clear, though, that you already are interested in one particular girl.
