What kind of cigarettes do you smoke?

So, I'm of age now, but wasn't when I started.

I used to get them from the machine at the gas station. When the machine went away, I just bought them at my local liquor store. Please note, however, that this was back in the day before people really cared, so I don't think it's that easy now.

My parents knew after I told them...I hid it (or thought I was hiding it) for a while, by not smoking at home. I spent a lot of time at school (where there was a smoking section), and away from home. They had been smokers themselves (although not at the time), so they understood the pull of the addiction, and counseled me away from smoking, while not getting upset over what amounted to spilt milk. After I came clean with them, I was allowed to smoke at home, but outside only.

I quit smoking 11 years ago.

I have started again, in the last few months. I am trying to hide it from my family, but I'm sure I come home smelling like an ashtray, and my husband isn't stupid. Right now, the reason I've been hiding it is because I keep telling myself I'm going to quit, so why admit to failure when I'm just about to get back on track? I think I must be a sucker.

I'm no longer underage, however when I was I got them from friends, mainly boyfriends who were older.
My parents did not know. I simply never smoked around them, never let them catch me smelling of cigarette smoke, never had cigarettes at my house. It made it easier that they pretty much left me alone and didn't snoop through my stuff. I wasn't scared, I was ashamed.

On the other hand, my younger sister who is still underage just told my mom one day by asking her for a cigarette.

My mom was surprisingly relaxed in almost every area that was forbidden after my dad passed away.

We all stopped by the way.

Its not good to smoke. Imagine what you'll look like years from now. I know its hard to stop, but do it just for your health
