Besides I would see it as an intelecutal challenge. Think of trying to prove to someone the world was flat, it would be fun.

Sure, but look at it this way. Einstein says that space is curved, so if it is parallel relative to the curvature of the earth then the earth is flat. Maybe my mind is what's curved....
