Here's the video of the behaviour of (ahem) *Christian* anti- war protestors.... http://youtube.com/watch?v=UqhUjAWfu-8

I don't believe in the afterlife
I am agnostic
I do not support war
I am not even an American and nor do I live there.

So why does the behaviour of these scumbag protestors offend me so much that I want to stomp on their heads and crush them in my bare hands!

If you are Christian.. do you support their actions? Why?

As a Veteran of the US Air Force, I feel that this so-called church and its members have over stepped the line. The issue of homosexuality should be a non-issue. No one in there right mind would choose to be picked on, abused, shunned and hated. Homosexuality is not a life style, but it is a genetic condition.

About the interrupting of military funerals, I am livid. Today's young men and women are volunteers. They show their bravery everyday. When one makes the ultimate sacrifice for their country, they deserve better. A proper military funeral, folded flag, bugle sounding taps, and the rifle salute, it is not only for the fallen heroes, but for their family and friends who are suffering their loss. I believe that jail time would be too easy for this church and its members. I think that they should be sent to Gitmo with the rest of the terrorists.

Gaz, you know I have never said anything like this, but I would love this minute to stomp a mud-hole in that two acre azz of that spokeswoman and any of the other Branch Phelpians. I think Christians should have a class action suit against them for defamation of our character. You can hate the war, but love the soldiers. They can march their hate parade because of the blood of those soldiers shed. Freedom of speech does not cover hate crimes. Why aren't they behind bars?
Edit: I am a Christian and I would not strike anyone except to protect someone who was being hurt, but if they need to deputize civilians to legally clean up that filth, this old gal is ready.

I am Christian and don't support this at all!

I just don't understand how one person can convince so many to "protest" in this way. This "church" and it's "followers" are a disgrace to what real and true Christians should be.

Christian is supposed to be like Christ and l for one can't remember hearing that Jesus or his disciples "protested" or did anything similar to this.

Sure I may not be the best Christian and maybe I would not be the ideal person to point out this groups wrong doings or behavior because of my own faults, all I know is that even through all my faults or sins I know where to draw the line and these people walked, danced and "protested" all over that line.

One thing I can say for myself is most of my sins have not hurt anyone but me...

These people are hurting those that are already in so much pain because their loved ones (HEROES) that died so that people like these protesters could have the freedom of speech amongst so many other freedoms.

Ungrateful bastards!

If they want to get their "message" across to people so they can feel important or so they can brainwash others into believing what they say is correct because they are "Christians" then they should do their "brainwashing" in their own church or homes not at a Hero's funeral...Just the blind leading the blind...stupid f*cking !diots!

First dude pay attention- Egypt is no longer run by the SAME people. So it is irrelevant what relationship we had in the past so why would you expect him to say that? You make little sense. Obama did not apologize- the Embassy did and they retracted it. Stop just believing everything Fox News says and Mittens lies to you! Again we have freedom of speech and freedom of information- the media has every right to release that information unless a court order tells them otherwise they can do it! Maybe the guy who made the video should have thought of that before he spewed his HATE SPEAK!

I am a Christian, and I do not agree with the anit-war protestors. I think they are ridiculous.

*edit* I just watched a few of those interviews and that woman is psycho!!! Not only is she claiming that people are not listening to God, she isn't! If she believes so strongly in the Bible and what it says she should try reading it once in a while!

I saw this video this morning and it just sickens me. I'm christian also but these people are the only ones i've ever seen doing this crap. It is offensive to our soldiers(my dad went to iraq) and I can't believe their not doing anything more about these stupid protesters. These people are out of touch with reality and should stop giving us real christians a bad name. Even if God(if this is true) did hate homo-sexuals I don't think he would kill hundreds of innocent soldiers fighting to keep this country up and going. It's sickening just to know that their actually people who think like this.

I am a Christian and these people are so far off the mark it is insane. They are a disgrace to Christianity, a disgrace to this country, and a disgrace to the human race as a whole! They should mourn the loss of each one of these soldiers, ESPECIALLY if they believe they will spend eternity in hell. God does not want ANYONE to be lost and none should glory in the death of anyone, no matter what their view of that person may be. They will answer to God for these actions and I won't be surprised if He says to them, "Away from me you evil doers. I never knew you."

They offend you, because any decent human being is offended by the idea of people protesting and chanting vile things at someone's funeral as grieving onlookers are trying to mourn. Any normal person would consider such activity shocking, indecent and immoral.

Were you aware that this "Church" used to go to the funerals of dead gay people and protest? They would scream that the deceased was burning in hell and hold signs that said, "God Hates Fags." All this in front of a family shell shocked by the death of a loved one.

I'm a Christian and I find their actions despicable. The members of this "Church" are examples of people whom God has given up to a reprobate mind. I actually feel sorry for them, because I know God will judge them harshly for what they've done in His name.

Westboro Baptists are NOT anti-war protestors. They're anti-gay protestors using the funerals of soldiers as their vehicle for attention.

(their "logic" is that the soldiers are defending an evil country that allows homosexuality)

Suggestions why it offends you:
Funerals are not about the afterlife. They are about respect for the dead and for closure for family and friends

Not supporting the war doesn't mean you can't respect soldiers. They're doing a job few of us have the guts to do.

If you're like me, you don't have to look at the desceased as a soldier or an American or even a hero. He or she was a human being, and they deserve some dignity in death. They can't speak up for themselves anymore, so we need to.
