If you want actual results, then go buy one for the motor and truck. Making one isn't going to do much of anything, there is a certain distance the MAF has to be from the throttle body, and certain length of piping and such. If you just want the look, and sound, go to autozone, they have solid length pipes and flex hoses, as well as couplings and such, to make your own for quite inexpensive.

That tube across the radatior is a cold air inlet from the left fender. That plastic air filter box with space ship air filter is hard to modify and the hole in the throttle chamber is the air flow meter any messing around under the air filter will cause air flow problems past the Air flow meter.Rough running stalling and poor driveability. Have you driven a new truck lately?

I made a cold air intake for this same motor, just in my 240sx.
I used the couplers off the the stock intake, but i'd buy new.
1. Couplers (however many you need to connect the piping together)
2. PVC pipe (whatever shape, size, bends you need. Match or slightly exceed throttle body size)
3. Piping heat wrap. I forgot what it's called, but it looks like aluminum tape. it will keep your intake cool. It can drop your intake temps like 20+ degrees. you can get it at lowes
