Well, we've been there for several years now and there doesn't seem to be any progress towards Iraq's beginning to stand on its own two feet. Here are some facts.
.. Iraq is a sovereign nation. The US invaded Iraq, thus violating its sovereignty.
.. Iraq was blamed for 9/11. The people who committed the horrors of that day were Saudi Arabians, not Iraqis.
.. al Quaeda was not present in Iraq until we invaded that country.
.. It was claimed that Iraq had weapons of mass destructon. Such weapons have never been found, neither have any records about the development of such weapons ever been revealed.
.. In the Iran-Iraq war the US sided with Iraq (Saddam Hussein was in power then).
.. The US and some of its allies have been interfering in the internal affiars of Middle Eastern nations ever since the creation of the State of Israel.
I think the Iraq war is a huge mistake and I think Mr. Bush was very reckless to order an invasion of that country. It has only served to inflame the Iraqis and their neighboring nations.

Too early to tell --> the laws of causality learn that you never can predict how the cookie crumbles. One cannot UNDO history, maybe it will have a benificial effect in the end (although right now it's a bleak picture) Maybe it will prevent a much more destructive encounter in the future, or it will prompt a government change in the USA. Sometimes, it's best to rely on the Lord and pray for a benificial solution. Meanwhile, the west (I'm Dutch and my country is fighting side-by-side with the USA on ALL fronts...) has made it's bed and will have to lie in it.

I don't think you can force demodcracy on any country. Some countries do better with dictatorship, believe me. Lets let Iraq be (My Opinion).
The war is a mistake, a big one. People die, for what?

The war wasn't, with the information that was available at the time, everyone said that they had WMD's. The mistake was Bush listened to Rumsfeld's yeses to much. They never should of disbanded the Iraqi Army, they surrendered.

Not a mistake at all and it's not too early to tell. It was the right thing to do then, (it should have been done earlier) and it's the right thing to do now.
