Yes, alcohol or drug use serve to demonstrate that the spouse exhibits an antisocial personality which would prevent him/her from fully understanding or carrying out the obligations of a lifelong relationship and therefore evidence that the spouse lacked the due competence required to form a sacramental marriage.

You should talk to your nearest marriage tribunal. Annulments are much easier these days than they once were. What the tribunal looks for is the commitment of each partner at the time of the marriage. If the commitment was real and honest at the time, then the marriage is good and cannot be annulled. If there were reasons why the commitment from each was not 100% then there could be grounds for annulment. Problems that develop after the wedding that were not there at the time are not grounds for annulment.
The only people who can determine this are the marriage tribunals. They are very helpful and not scary. Make an appointment to talk to a counsellor.

I believe you can only be granted an annulment if, there were problems before the marriage, and the marriage was acted on shaky grounds. Yes, I'd call that a drug problem, but what do I know I'm as high as a kite right now. Here's your star.

Is it causing problems? Is the user lacking in ambitions and not holding down a job? Do they foul up on their responsibilities?
Is it interfering with necessary daily routines?
If not, who cares.
