To my knowledge, having asthma is a factor that disqualifies you for military service

Don't think so, from my understanding no branch of the military will take you with asthma. I would double check though just in case. I know the Air Force will not take you unless it some how gets passed them. It is something you definately want to tell them or you could get into a lot of trouble.

Nope you need to be 3 years without needing any medication for asthma to join any of the armed forces in the UK.

I dont think so...marines mean water ..water means cold..cold means infection...worsening asthma
