I think his mother dropped him on his head a few times as an infant and then he got beat up numerous times in the national guard - closed head injury can certainly cause a lot of neurological and cognitive deficits.

Yes how did you know that? His degree thesis has been locked in a safe at his old university so that no-one else can read it. Of course it is unusual for a thesis to be written in crayon but......
