It's part of Oceania, Australia, New Zealand and most of the South Pacific Islands are also part of this continent group. Technically, the country Australia itself is a continent, but is included with the rest of Oceania for the purpose of continent classification.

Samoa is an island (with two countries, Eastern Samoa and American Samoa) and is not part of a continent. The South Pacific area where Samoa is located in sometimes called Oceania. Australia is often considered part of Oceania even though it is its own continent.

Technically it belongs to Australasia. The other 6 continents are Asia, N & S America, Africa, Europe and Antartica.
