One, the human body is programmed to take a rest midday.
Two, you probably ate a lot of carbos for lunch. Digesting all those calories will make your blood sugar go up, and make you sleepy.

Because you probably ate lunch....there is a hormone in the body that takes action to help you digest your food which make you sleepy...also lack of exercise. If you exercise on a regular basis...the sleepiness won't occur as often. Overeating causes sleepiness as well
