i don't know what kinds of tea is good. i like herbal tea, but i don't know what it is that makes regular tea not so good to drink.

Black, green, grey, and white teas. Basically any that come from the actual tea-leaves. While a previous answer is right, it's not really about "caffiene" seeing whether a tea has caffiene or not just happens to be a very convenient way to quickly tell if it has tea leaves or not (since the ones with tea leaves do).

Herbal teas are totally okay - I personally love chamomile mint to relax to at bed time.

Some may tell you that it's the caffeine that is bad, but we don't know what the whole answer is. I limit myself to naturally caffeine free (not decaffeinated) herbal teas. Nothing that starts out as "black tea" or "white tea". Natural or unnatural is not the issue. All tea is natural isn't it. Years ago the Ensign had an article that said be careful of herbal teas since we don't know their effects. After all marijuana and tobacco are also "herbs"

Black, Green, White Tea are against the Word of Wisdom. Herbal Teas are fine.

I am in the same position as you I have heard many conflicting answers, for what is good and bad relating to tea, so I just avoid all of it.

If you leave it in a porcelain cup over night you will see in the morning if it is harmful to you. Coffee and tea will leave a stain. This is from tannins used to tan leather.
