I have a very grainy black and white security image taken at night, and i need to figure out who the person in the picture is but in order to do so i need to enhance the image, and i was wondering how i should do that? Oh and all i have to use is photoshop CS2 and Imageready CS2

it's not like CSI where you can hit enhance and a really blurry photo zoomed in 500% all of the sudden looks clear as day.

You can try smart sharpen, unsharp mask, noise removal, image size to 400%, shadow highlight to bring out shadow detail. And thats about it

You really can't do it like they show you on televison and movies. If a still camera didn't capture the detail, there is no software that can go back in time and space to find it and put it in.

With video, some enhancement can be done, because there are softwares that can "average" out pixel information from several frames to create a much more detailed and accurate image.

Check this out and read the text under the image. If you don't expect a miracle, you might get the detail that you need.

stop watch propaganda like CSI, get Avid or Avid Pro and see what you can do
