Personally, I don't keep my nails long. Just to the ends of my fingers. I don't bite them and I am very punctual with cutting them every Thursday.
If i do happen to break one it does hurt. I have relatively physical job and if I break a nail it's because I am digging deep in some pile of stuff to get something out. I usually don't notice until I'm done getting the thing I need out of the pile.
So I would have to say, no breaking my nails really doesn't hurt.
Ripping them off at the roots hurts.

Nor for me- I don't care-. but for those who pay big bucks- it may be a big deal because they paid for their nails to look a certain way and when one breaks they gotta pay to get it to match the other nails. Or in a very rare case it may actually hurt to have a broken nail- you know those moments when the nails breaks below or right at the skin- ouch- that is a big deal.
Otherwise the lady is just looking for some attention . LOL when she yells out- Ouch, darn I broke a nail

If you break a nail it looks out of place so you have to cut them all back and since fingernails take their time growing... then yes it becomes a big deal. I don't have long ones though so I'm sorted.

My Pink Nail Is A Half Inch Maybe More. ( My Brother Cals It My Crack Nail) But It Wil Break And I'll Look And Say O Well. Im Not Very Girly.

It's not a big deal that I broke the nail, but it does kind of hurt just because the nail is pretty much bent back until it snaps.

Its not really a big deal, its just an inconvenience. The only time I broke a finger nail was bowling and it just got in the way of me bowling a better game.

If I've paid a bunch of money to have fake nails put on and one breaks off...yeah, I get a little spazzy about it plus they really hurt when you break em.
But if it's just my regular/natural nail I'll pull out my file and make it look nice again :)
