I was on the phone with my friend last night, and then my dad calls....I didn't answer and then he called the house and he was like "Why is "myname" on the phone right now and he was calling from work. It was late so I couldn't be on the phone, so I denied it. He was like " My phone system lets me know if you're on the phone" Is he lying or is that actually possible?

A lot of times if someone calls and you don't answer the beep it will either just keep ringing (without going to the voicemail) or it will only ring like once and then it will go to the voicemail. So that's probably how he knew you were on the phone. Just answer his beep next time and he probably won't know.
