Hold on let me check....
Nope... Looked at all 10 of the commandments. There is not one that says thou shall not masturbate.
Looks like we are all still good!

No and it cannot be a sin. There is a very nasty disease called prostate cancer that develops in older men. It has been found thet the best prophylactic against prostate cancer is regular orgasms from an early age. These can be achieved either with a partner or by yourself. nocturnal emissions are not regular enough nor reliable enough.
What sort of nasty god is going to produce a pleasurable and fun way to combat a deadly disease and then make it a sin? All boys should be encouraged to take the hands-on approach to beating prostate cancer. Remember, a w*nk a day keeps the surgeon away.

Maybe you peep's should actually read the bible before answering a question such as this. Leviticus 15:16 says that if a man is to emit semen from the body other than to procreate, he is to bathe and his clothes are to be washed as it is an unclean act. This would also include masterbation. Also, masterbation may lead to less affection towards a man's wife if he is too busy masterbating all the time, when will he have time to be with his wife?

The Bible never specifically mentions masturbation or states whether masturbation is a sin. There is no question, however, as to whether the actions that lead to masturbation are sinful. Masturbation is the end result of lustful thoughts, sexual stimulation, and/or pornographic images. It is these problems that need to be dealt with. If the sins of lust and pornography are forsaken and overcome - the problem of masturbation will become a non-issue.
The Bible tells us to avoid even the appearance of sexual immorality (Ephesians 5:3). I do not see how masturbating can pass that particular test.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of people saying yes and quoting the bible, but the only place I know where it says it's a bad thing is where guys get in trouble for spilling their seed on the ground. So save it in a cup and you'll be fine.
Everywhere else it's only really used as a description.

Yes, unfortunately it is.. sex or sexual activity is only, according to the bible for married people want to conceive babies, however, this is in the old testament, before Christ died for all of our sins.. so take that how you will... we all sin everyday... its better than getting pregnant or a STD! So have that date with your self!

A commonly referenced proverb to highlight the evils of masturbation frequently mistaken as a biblical admonition is typically phrased as, "It is better to cast your seed in the belly of a whore than to spill it on the ground." The fact is, though, this is not anything to be found in the pages of Scripture. We get this question fairly often and have been trying to track down the origin of the saying, but alas, with no luck. While not certain of the phrase's exact origin, it does seem to be a false extrapolation of Genesis 38 and the story of Onan, Tamar, and Judah.
According to Ancient Near Eastern culture, it would have been the responsibility of Onan to impregnate his dead brother's wife that his brother's line might continue. Selfishly, Onan did not wish any of his offspring to bear any name other than his own; and so while he did, in fact, take up the responsibility of sexual relations with his brother's wife, he would not ejaculate inside her but instead practiced the withdrawal method of birth control. God punished Onan for his wickedness and greed by putting him to death (and not, as is popularly believed, for masturbating). The rest of the narrative features the wife, Tamar, posing as a prostitute and seducing Onan's father, Judah. By him, she conceives and bears a son from whom Christ would descend. And God does not strike Judah or punish him in any way in the narrative.
So it appears that some cynic had taken the veneer of the tale and crafted a wry commentary that has come to be known as actual Scripture (unfortunately). In the end, the admonition is far from biblical and has nothing to do with masturbation.

YES! God has created everything to be used in it's own way!-example our eyes cannot gab something, our hands cannot see! read: Romans 12:4.Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function. God established it for intercourse with your spouse, and i'll say of the OPPISITE SEX!.

Are you serious!? You pretty much already know the answer to this question. After all, you're talking about a book in which women were required to leave down when they had "issue" (their period) as it was deemed to be unclean.

Yes. You're supposed to save feelings like that for someone you love (in your case a BOY), not use them for lust.
