The world's saving grace may well be intelligent educated people who will not stand idly by while the ignorant and superstitious among us seek to destroy human civilization. If and when "Armageddon" occurs it will be entirely man made, as are all wars.
The longer I frequent this R&S forum, the more convinced I become that fundamentalists, both Christian and Muslim, are traitors -- not to the USA, but to the entire human species. If "Armageddon" occurs, it will be a world war between those who value human civilization and scientific progress and the ignorant and superstitious among us, who seek to destroy human civilization merely for the sake of fulfilling scriptural prophecy. I cannot think of a more ignominious end for the human species than to die by our own hand because of our ancestor's ancient superstitions.

The planet will not be coming to an end and the Bible says the meek will inherit the earth forever. Only the wicked, corrupt government systems and the supporters will be destroyed. The saving grace is that it will happen to the great relief of the planet and good people on it.

It doesn't need a saving grace, as there's no reason to think it's coming to an end any time soon.

What makes you think or know that Armageddon will come soon? I am sorry, but i don't see any peace. !! Armageddon (according to the bible) will only take place once the world is at peace.
Man will be the ruin of man in the end!

The "saving grace" may not be for the physical world, but for the people in the physical world.
That is the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of the eternal soul thru Jesus, Son of the one true God. Enter into this covenant with a sincere and repentant heart and be assured the kingdom of heaven.
It really IS that simple.
ps: Armageddon

World, you mean age. The age is coming to an end, that is this flesh age at the seventh trump. But first Satan will play his role deceiving the whole world into thinking he is God.
Then the seventh trump when the true Christ returns. His wrath will be poured out. He will rule with a rod of iron. Grace is the age we are now in, don't wait.

i thought it was coming to an end in the year 2000. A lot of religious nuts who believed that ended up looking f***ing stupid, they are all probably bank managers or working in IT by now.

Which world? Or, do you really mean "the human race"?
If you are talking about our race, I would lean towards genetic engineering over the next 100,000 years.
