The Bible was written by men in a time of men. It blatantly eliminates the perspective of 50% of the world population.

I love "The Book of God: The Bible as a Novel." It is a great book for people wanting to study the Bible.

No its no longer. examine up on the Council of Nicea. it rather is the place the hot testomony got here from. The Bible replaced into in basic terms a handful of information out of an arm load of information. that's what the lifeless sea scrolls are, the thoughts that weren't blanketed in the bible.

So this is saying we should accept the words of modern day scholars over the words of people who were there? Just because the Bible is a religious text does not make it any less a historic document. I will accept what it says over what modern man thinks they know about the past.

The Bible is the inspired word of God and a lot of it you are not going to understand until you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. I lot of what of said in the Bible has Spiritual meaning and how are you going to know what is says unless the Holy Spirit is in your heart and guides you. That is what happens when you become a Born Again Christian. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross at Calvery he died for your sins and mine. Think about this, Where ever you are at and you see a Cross does it have a Spiritually meaning to it automatically in your mind? Do you think of Jesus immediately upon see one or maybe three crosses upon a hill. The Bible in Hebrews 10:16 says that Jesus wrote this in our hearts and minds, its in our instincts, now you can deny it all day but in the end the only way to Heaven is thru Jesus Christ. We are sinners, to be Born Again we must be willing to admit that we are and that we need a Saviour, If you would like to be Born Again Pray this Prayer, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

let me break it down for you....history ==> HIS + STORY: the passing down of stories from generation to generation which until education of the masses was in the form of story telling.
Now think really hard, how many times have you heard a story that was basically the same but different depending on where you grew up. There maybe something there but it get's difficult to nail down after awhile.

May I suggest that you read "The Bible Unearthed" by Finkelstein and Silberman? It is an examination of the historical accuracy of the Bible.

Yes I do, I have relied on information in the Bible and in return received MANY awesome gifts, surprises, and more things that I don't have time to talk about this second.

Why do you believe a website that could have been made by any person with $10 and an internet connection over a 2000 year old book that has been proved true time and time again?

THAT is what makes no sense.

well considering the fact that it was WROTE DOWN BY A KING as the most popular version no. (also it had to be translated and some books that weren't 'important' were removed)
