They're probably not "love" poems but expressions of his pain, consequently, his emotions are still pretty raw where she's concerned. Therapeutically this is a good move but it can look a bit odd to a new girlfriend; she's likely to think he's still hung up on her (which in turn makes her a subject he's not open to discussing). It's likely a good idea for him to talk to someone about this, but that person may not be you....nothing against you, but sometimes a new love is the wrong person to discuss and old love with because neither of you can handle the candor. Just be there for him where you can, and this will pass. Good luck to you both.

It means he doesn't want to talk about her. If you want to stay in a relationship with this guy it might be a good idea to do what he asks.

BTW the poem thing is kinda weird.

It means he doesn't want to hear you say his girlfriend's name from your mouth. And he still writes poems about her? Thats just sick. You should dump him, he still loves her

I would say he still has feelings for her but not so much about love anymore, and he is trying in HIS own way to move on and get over it. For example he IS with you now so try and allow him to move on in his own pace. If he wants to talk about her to you he will but you need to allow this to happen in his own time. Dont push too much hun or you may push him away. Be there for him and show him you care and if and when he ever wants to talk you will be listening x

It means drop it. I know every time my gf brought up my ex it was for her to ***** about something. Thing was, she was not a part of my life in any way shape or form when I was with the "ex". What made her think she could ***** at me for what I did with another woman when she wasn't in any part of the picture? Women are psychotic...

It takes a long time for some wounds to heal, I worte dark poetry for a few years after one of my break ups. If he hates her its a good thing for you, If he is still in love with her but she has moved on, he's damaged goods. I know, I was one of em till I met a "Good" woman

He has a loves to hate her relationship with her in his mind. Tell him to move on. Can't be living in the past. Life will pass him by.
