Even if you insist 'God' had a hand in it, why can you not accept that perhaps God used the lightning strike and atmospheric chemicals to 'create' the first life form (a microbe)? Have you religous freaks ever considered that God can use science too?

Hey AM,
Okay...let's assume God did create the earth...how did he do it? What methods did he use? If you accept the scientific theories of how the earth was created, does that mean God did not do it? Why? Why couldn't God have used science as his/her method?

Laura,
ROFL that sounds ridiculous...God "did not use science"? The very notion of science is that it is truthful...why would God not use it?

No one believes in evolution. They just accept scientific fact or deny it. There's no in between.

No the theory of evolutions has some very important aspects, but I believe it has been taken way to far out. Maybe God did use lightening to create life or maybe he didn't, yet that cannot be proven. I think adaptation to ones' environment is the the theory of evolutions point to. This gift that God gave us to fit to our surroundings is beautiful. For example, think of the birds Darwin was talking about. They were the same bird, but genetically the birds found those that were better suited to live on specific islands. I believe what he witnessed was gene selecting. Maybe some one should start a better theory and call it the theory of adaptation.

Perhaps a technicality, but: I dont 'believe' in evolution. I accept that it's the best explanation for the diversity of life on earth. But all theories, even ones as well established as evolution, are constantly subject to revision as new information becomes available.

God didn't "use" science. He created science. He created everything. No one knows what happened back then because no one was there. Evolution cannot be proven. I read somewhere that the odds of all the circumstances being just right for something like the big bang theory to take place were something like 1:24,000,000,000. I choose to believe that a Bible that has passed on from generation to generation to generation probably holds some merit to it and I would rather take my chances that there is a God who loves me and who created me than to put my bet on something with odds like 1:24,000,000,000. God gave us the brain that you're using to criticize Him with.

Hi. Im am a "religious freak". I believe God created the universe. I do not believe in evolution. God can do what he wants, but he did not use science to create anything. You have no real facts. Don't pretend you know everything. You don't.

Because the evangelical atheist's on yahoo have continually told me that as a Christian I don't believe in evolution and am afraid of science.
I used to believe in evolution until I was informed by the self professed smarter evangelical atheist's on here that I didn't.

He did use science. Your not using your mind....sorry, I'm not trying to be mean but...like......you know. And um, give me evidence that He used evolution? The fossil record DOES NOT agree with evolutionary theory.

A lot of people rather believe that all current life was readymade by a major sky daddy. It's simpler. People like simplifying things.
