Do you think that Christians who use the phrase 'the miracle of birth' are setting a very low threshold for miracles.

Birth is natural and as common as muck and almost unstopable and uncontrolable as many people find out to their cost..

Too true. A baby has been conceived about 15 billion times in the last fifty years or so. And that's just humans.

It's really not that impressive. Making a baby is pretty easy...I practice doing it all the time. :)

Sounds like a miracle to me!
There had been no union between Mary and Joseph - Mary conceived by The Holy Spirit.

I think there's a little problem here - are you saying children and the birth of a child are as 'common as muck' ?

It's a miracle in the fact that two humans were able to create another human, that out of two little cells this complex human being came to be. And for people who find children to be "costly", pregnancy is stoppable and controllable.
