YES..Either or, with or without gloves.......Let me clarify the GSR only proves you fired "a" gun. It is in no way traceable to a PARTICULAR gun

Plenty of wrong answers here. It depends on the type of gun we are talking about. A flintlock? Nothing. On the other hand, if we are talking about modern firearms, which I think you are, then plenty will go wrong. Modern cartridge cases have primers that ignite the main powder charge inside the case/shell. Guess what? Those primers have explosive materials that are actually MORE POWERFUL than the gunpowder itself. They are designed this way to give reliable ignition. If a cartridge case has no gunpowder in it, upon trying to shoot the gun, the firing pin strikes the primer and the primer explodes (they generally have as much power as a 22 LR rimfire). The bullet will then be forced into the throat of the rifle or pistol...or on a revolver, the bullet will usually go as far as the forcing cone on the barrel. What you have now is...a bullet lodged in the barrel. IF the shooter is smart, he/she will notice the squib load and examine the gun. They will then need to find a way to remove the bullet from the barrel of the gun. IF they don't do this and try to fire the gun - the barrel can explode, since the mass of two bullets is generally more than most barrels can handle when a live round is then fired.

Yes, but even with leather gloves you have a good chance of getting GSR on some other part of your clothing, and you would for sure shooting a pistol, maybe not with a rifle.

I am not sure why you want to know this information. If you are planning something criminal I sincerely hope you start watching CSI, (Crime Scene Investigations) Forensic evidence series and other Cop movies that will show you how difficult it is to fool the police and criminal investigators.
The answer to your question is Yes and not just on your hands but on your face, shirt , pants and in your hair or inside of your car.

You can get GSR on your hands simply by shaking hands with someone who was shooting a gun earlier.Without wearing leather gloves you will have GSR on your hands after firing.

yeah, it will be found all over you, especially if the wind is blowing your direction. The powder will get on your clothes, and face too most likely.
