There is an almost continuous stream of misinformation, lies and half-truths given about the Book of Mormon and Mormonism in general. Aside from Members of the LDS church, I'd like to see a poll of how many non-members (especially those that "know" it's not true) have read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. As Ben Stein would say... "Anybody, anybody..."

To Be Honest: But he already has appeared to men since after being crucified. One simple example was the time he spent with the apostles between crucifixion and resurrection. But even after resurection, he appeared to Saul of Tarsus (later to be known as Paul). Did you forget about those.

To violation... Good thing you didn't live 2000 years ago. Whey should I read what Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are writing - I already have what Moses wrote. Isn't that kinda the same thing? :)

I haven't read all or even most of it, but I have read enough to make an intelligent decision about it. Jesus Christ will only return this earth once after His death on the cross and that is when He sets up His kingdom on earth. He isn't here ruling right now, so the Book of Mormon is not based in truth.
I do know that He walked the earth after his death, but that was all in one earthly visit. His physical body remained on the earth before, during, and after His death until His ascension. The Book of Mormon teaches that He came a second time to speak to the Native Americans which would amke His Glorious Appearing His third visit to earth, something that is not supported by the original scriptures.

Yeah, but to be fair, how many mormons have actually read the book of mormon all the way through? (I recall the story of when ezra taft benson asked this question to a large mormon congregation and only about 3 or 4 people raised their hands out of maybe 50)
I'd still bet more mormons per capita have read the bible than traditional christians.

I honestly have read about half of the Book of Mormon in because I was curious about the religion since I have Mormon friends and I wanted to learn more about their beliefs. I think that I would like to learn some more about Mormonism in general before I continue reading it though.

Nope, although I know better than to criticize a religion that I'm unfamilar with, except in the most general terms.
I did get a French copy of the Book of Mormon from a family friend who thought I might like it. My french is rustier than I remembered, though, and I gave up after a few pages.

I'm a member, but here's a link for anyone who would like to read it online. The first link is the official church website. The second link is also a good site to read the scriptures.

Good question for those that fit into your target group. I have read the book at least a dozen times. I get new insights each time. It is scripture. Joseph did not write it by himself. He wasn't that clever. If not for revelation, it would not exist.

I have read it , but mostly study it as you have time
The Book of Mormon is the song from the dust, you walk on.
It is ancient, and all truth is listed there.

Not cover to cover. It took me about three years as a Christian to read the entire Bible. I have read portions of it, along with parts of "Doctrine and Covenants" and "Pearl of Great Price".

I havent read it. However I am one of your friends and I try to seek the truth when possible.
Mormonism is not alone, and is not without allies. However it must seek them when they become strong enough to fight and not push them aside like the rest of christianity.
