Highly unlikely... the can was most likely dented due to a drop.

No risk is not the same because the pH is too low. Soda contain citric or phosphoric acid which gives it a low pH. The only thing that could possibly grow would be mold and that's highly unlikely. You will notice sodium benzoate or benzoic acid in some canned beverages to prevent mold. Your greatest risk is the can has lost pressure and all the gas has escaped. It will taste flat but it won't hurt you.
Risk in canned high pH food is for botulism and that's something you don't want to mess with. (highly lethal)
