I'm doing a persuasive speech at school on becoming a vegetarian and its benefits. Although I am not one, I do support it. I was wondering if someone could provide me with strong proof that Vegetarians are more healthier and How. I once read something about Meat eaters intake much more Protein I believe and it eventually just becomes and excess, where as vegetarians receive about the perfect amount.

I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I can't say that it is necessarily healthier - a vegetarian could choose to eat only chips, cheese, crisps and chocolate for example. Vegetarians in general, do eat more fruit and vegetables than meat eaters and more unrefined grains. They tend to eat less processed foods and generally have a lower salt / sodium intake due to not consuming processed meat products such as bacon, smoked and salted hams etc. A vegetarian diet can be higher in fibre and is also more eco-friendly and sustainable for the environment.

there is no proof, there never has been.

vegetarians are no healthier than those that follow an omnivore diet. medical study has proven time and time again that when a omnivore and vegetarian consume the same amount of calories the end result is comparable.
