In a sense the answer is yes. If you sinned You need to ask him back into your heart again & ask for forgiviness.. You won't need to be told how to know for sure you will know the answer for yourself.

Wrong question: "If you died tonight, would you be sure you were going to heaven?"
Right question: "If you knew you had to live forever, what kind of person would you want to be?"
What does it mean to be saved? Not burning in hell? There's a clue in Luke 15. There are three parables that talk about "lost" things. That's the term Christians use about people who aren't "saved." But you'll notice that to be lost according to the parables is simply not being where something is supposed to be. Conversely, to be "saved" then would be to be "found," to be where you're supposed to be. Which is living your life God's way, under Jesus' tutelage. Here and now. Today is the day of salvation.

Hard to answer your question since I don't know how you got "saved" as a youngster. The bible says if you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord you will be saved. I grew up in church and considered myself "saved". In fact when two Baptists came knocking at my door when I was 25 and asked me If I wanted to be "born again" I laughed at them. I said I"m saved I"m Lutheran and made fun of them behind their back I thought they were CRAZY! I thought I was saved! Was raised in church like I said. couple months later Billy Graham was on TV and preaching about having peace with God. I knew I had no peace. I called the prayer line and said I want to give my heart and life to Jesus. I did and this incredible peace that was supernatural flooded my soul. I have known ever since I am saved and incidentally, the word of God came ALIVE to me after that where it used to be boring. Hope this helps.
Once Saved Jesus takes the responsibility of "finishing the good work he started in you". Your flesh is flesh and will always want to sin. Your spirit when you are saved will be sad and grieved by sin and not want to do it as you will be very uncomfortable with sin. That's a sign you are saved not that you are unsaved (when you are uncomfortable with sin). Hope this helps! Bless you.

Not that hard really. Salvation will not bring an end to sinning. We still have our sin nature, and prone to fall from time to time. If you are truly saved, all your sins were forgiven through Christ's work on the cross, all of them. When we sin, we confess to God to restore fellowship, not to be forgiven. Sinning does not indicate a lack of salvation, just reveals that human flesh is still active. Of course, as you grow in Christ, you should be sinning less and seeking more and more to please God. He will also change your desires, so that you desire that which pleases Him, and not yourself. By your question and concern, I am pretty confident that you are of the elect.

This is actually a TRIVIAL question!! Being "saved" has the connotation of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior and through your baptism you were forgiven of all your sins.
Shortly after that, you sinned again. Everyone does. After the initial acceptance the future forgiveness comes through repentance.
We must endure to the end...

If you can take some advice from someone who does not believe in god, here goes ...
Did you understand then what you understand now about your faith? Probably not. This is why child conversions are so questionable in their approach. No child, no matter whom they might be can understand the complexities of god, let alone the religion and traditions that stem from it. Sure, parents might be a guide but this is not enough.
If you really want to believe in god and follow a tradition, make this decision when you can understand, at least at the most fundamental and basic levels what you are committing yourself to.
As for your question, examine what it is you believe. If you want to be saved FOR SURE, who knows.

If you believe in the Water and the Word, then your sins will be forgiven. We are original sinners, every since Adam ate the apple. We are not doomed because of Jesus.

Everyone sins, we can't help it. Being 'saved' doesn't mean that you automatically stop sinning. If you are truly sorry for your sin then ask God for forgiveness and you will be forgiven.
