Are we called to be Saints? How do we become holy enough to become one? Do you need to eat the Eucharist to?

Yes, we are all called to be saints. We can do it.

We can get holy, by time, only if we seriously decide to fight sin in our lives, by continuous prayer, sacrements (Eucharist and confession), doing acts of love (in our daily life).

Pope John Paul 2 said: "The greatest thing you can offer to the church is becoming a saint".

Someone who is called of God, when they choose to follow God's Way of life, keep the commandments and statutes, repent from sin, believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are baptized (in water and the holy spirit), becomes a saint. One does not become holy BEFORE becoming a saint -- a saint's life is one in which they strive to overcome sin and become perfect as God is perfect.

Remember, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8).

1 John 1:7 -- But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

You become a Saint by identifying with the Spirit. All other practices represent turning the identity from flesh to Spirit.

What is a saint? According to the Scriptures, all who are called to salvation through Christ is a saint. It is one who is sanctified and consecrated. Who does this? God does. He sanctifies and consecrates all whom He has called out. We do nothing to gain this, nor could we, in our flesh, ever become "holy", it is all God's doing.
