mine cost $1,000!!! nd it's not even 100% pure but there's probaby only 8% of it that isn't. i guess the pet shop ripped me off >=[ but i still love my baby shih tzu!his name is pepper. wat's ur shih tzu's name? btw, the pet shop was gona sell him 2 me 4 $1,100 but he just automatically lowered.

pet shops are notorious for poor quality pets- most come from puppy mills. I have two shih tzus both are pure bred- Paisley cost $300 and she is so rotten.
The other one, Lucy, was free because a lady purchased her from a pet shop and was going to put her to sleep because she had behavior and health problems. I took her home from the vets office and retrained her and treated her health issues.

The key is are you happy with the dog and not the price. They are the most loveable dogs. We have 3: all are pure breeds and purchased from breeders and we paid,$250,$300 and $350. You can't put a price on the love they give.

XD Thats why pet stores are horrible places to buy dogs. I dont own one but I know of breeders who charge that much for healthy show quality puppies, pet stores sell puppies from puppy mills good luck keeping her alive longer than a year and healthy at that.

mine was $400
the old woman who owned the dog was illergic to her, so she sold Lexi (our Shih Tzu) to us cheap. But our Shih Tzu is wonderful and cute!

my shih tzu cost $900 but she was on sale for $200 off but she is alot with the vet and all same with my other dog be he is a begeal

Usually AKC papered shitzus' are worth that much. My mom had one with papers that we bought a few years ago. We gave $800 for her, and her name was Dixie Belle. If it is not pure bread, and doesn't have papers, YES YOU GOT RIPPED OFF!!!!

A pet shop!?!?!?! You should NEVER get a dog from a pet shop! They come from puppy mills and backyard breeders! And yes, you did get a rippoff.
