No it isn't.
Funny thing...I thought is was against the standard "Baptist" code...but I'm a member of a church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and I didn't read or hear anything in the membership process about dancing. I suppose it's possible some Baptist churches do still speak out against dancing but not the one I attend.

My neighbors are Nazarene:
No dancing (in the late 90s, this was modified to forbid “All forms of dancing that detract from spiritual growth and break down proper moral inhibitions and reserve.”)
(Nazarene joke: Why can’t married couples have sex standing up? A-It might lead to dancing.)

i'm pagan as well. drumming and dancing are a big part of our lifestyle. not everyone participates, but many can't help but feel the beat of the drums through their body and get up and dance to it!
edit: WOW fireball has a gay friend - and has been in a bar!

Drunkenness no longer ingesting is condemned contained in the bible, in fact the bible author Timothy became reported by using the Apostle Paul to take a touch wine for his primary abdomen upsets. And definite Jesus first miracle became to flip water into wine. yet this became no longer a licence to get drunk because of the fact it fairly is authentic that as quickly as human beings drink too lots they do lose their inhibitions and that they might permit down their look after and do a little thing (and it ought to no longer basically be a sexual ingredient it ought to be to scouse borrow, or smash the regulation in some incorrect way) that they does no longer oftentimes do. As for dancing the bible does no longer condemn dancing, definite it condemns sexual mis habit yet there are a number of dances which are clean and not sexually arousing. working example many cultural dances like Greek or Assyrian or Persian are appealing dances and not sexual in any respect in nature. additionally our very own consciences could come into play what ought to be sexually arousing to a minimal of one individual does no longer inevitably be so for yet somebody else. even regardless of the undeniable fact that it fairly is obvious once you spot some dancing that it fairly is noticeably lots 'intercourse on the dancefloor'. So particularly than condemn those issues outright, people who persist with the bible use their bible skilled ethical experience to % how lots if any to drink and what variety of dancing they could be prepared to take area in with out breaking Gods standards.
