I am doing a essay about honoring our veterans for this contast. I am done with the essay but I have two different versions. They are both the same except for the ending. One version is with my ending and the other version is with a different ending by my teacher. My endings says In the history of mankind only two forces offer to die for you, they are Jesus Christ and the American soldier, one die for your soul and the other die for your freedom. My teacher's ending says In the history of mankind only two forces offer to die for you, one is my personal savior who died for my soul and the other is the american soldiers who gave everything for my freedoms. Now my teacher say I MIGHT get disquillifed if I keep my version. I feel if I choose my teacher's version then I am somehow denaning Jesus. I dont know what version to choose so please give me your thoughts of what version to keep. HURRY cause this is due TOMOROW!

Without knowing who is putting on the contest, it's hard to say exactly. I've been thinking about what to say and no matter which direction I pick, I see reasons to go the other way.

I'm an atheist, but I believe you should be able to make whatever personal religious statements you wish. I lean towards putting the ending you wish. However, I cannot guarantee your success. You may be disqualified, since I don't know the rules of the contest. The most I can do is wish you good luck.

In my opinion - enter both versions - intro the endings with the phrase " in conclusion I find myself exploring two ways of thinking. One way is.....(insert on ending) ...the other is...

Finish by an admission that there is room to explore both areas....
Then point out that the human urge to bring people onto one side of the fence or the other, has and still does cause major confict.... Then suggest that you do not wish to add to the conflict - but would rather explain 'the grass either side of the field'

KEEP YOUR VERSION. STAND FAST FOR YOUR FAITH.

You KNOW what you should do, so just do it. You're not breaking ANY rules, or laws, by naming Jesus, so don't let them intimidate you. That's all it is. If you get penalized for it, then have your parents contact the school board and threaten them with a lawsuit. They CANNOT do that to you. If you need to, then "google" Jay Seculow, and contact him. We may get to see you on FOX News!

Stand fast for the Savior, and don't let some teacher intimidate you. Remember...you are a child of the King, so honor Him whenever you get the chance, and suffer for Him whenever you have to for His Name's sake. I'm praying for you, kiddo. Just do it!

I guess it would depend on what you hope to accomplish. If you are trying to make a religious statement then you should use your ending. If you are trying to get a passing grade in your class and move on in your life then use your teachers ending. Your choice.

Always go with your own work..Then you have no one to blame but yourself. If they disqualify you make a fuss. You have a right under the law to freedom of religion!

I'd use the teacher's if you want to get a good grade. If you don't care about the grade, choose yours.

go w/your own version.
disqualified or not, you will know and not regret writing what you believe in.
if we do not stand up for what we believe in then we stand for nothing and our beliefs are less than worthless. they become detrimental to our lives as others will hear what we say, see what we do and believe what they see over what we say, undermining truth and love, encouraging deception and hatred.

I like your teacher's edit better, sounds more educated.. but the word "YOU" isn't often appropriate in papers/speeches etc. check it.

Go with YOUR ending. It's a win/win.

I would go with your teacher.
In your mind it will mean the same thing.
