The scenery will keep you in awe on the Alaska cruise. We spent hours on our balcony just watching the sights go by.
They also have wine tasting, bingo, trivia games, etc for those of you who want to be inside.
While at sea the casino will be open also, and they have movie theaters too. Lots to do - you won't be bored.

It depends on the cruise line and the features of the cruise ship. Most of the big cruise ships have a standard fare of movies, wine-tasting classes, fitness classes and gym, indoor pool, library, spa, internet, bingo. ..

Holland America ships feature cooking classes and some of the other cruise lines are following this idea. Other cruise ships have guest speakers -- usually on topics about the area you're visiting, but sometimes on books or history.

If you cruise to Alaska on small cruise ships, there is much less time spent on board and more time interacting with the wildlife and environment.

Remember to pack warm clothing and a rain coat!

Enjoy!

Most cruises have parties, games, rock-climbing, swimming pools, movies, music, concerts, cocktail hours, gambling, masseuses, ... and the view kicks the Caribbean's butt. And if you go in the summer, you can still lay out all day. But if you're just going to do that, why bother going on a cruise? May as well stay home.
