do you really think you are doing it?
I am just trying to prompt some self analysis here.

Sandra P: That is where I was going here.
Mark 12:
28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'[f] 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[g]There is no commandment greater than these."
Should we not as Christians stop acting the way some of us do on here?
It does not say love them as long as they believe the same as you.

I think God wants me to be present to Him, to be aware of His presence in every moment and to live my life as if that fact were true. Am I doing it? Some moments are better than others...
Edit: no1home: The reference is Micah 6:8.
If quoting Scripture is relevant here, check out Psalm 27:4.

Many people think that they can be selfish, greedy, use and trick people all week, and then head to church and ask for forgiveness every Sunday to make God happy. They wipe the slate clean and are back to "ripping off people" or playing the power and "it's all about me game" on Monday.

Well. I'm still like 14 so I can't actually see what God wants from me. But I know he wants everyone to live peacefully with each other which is hard these days with all this violence, raping, and whatnot. I'm sick of it. I just wish one day I could just tell the world to shut up and live life the way we're supposed to. And maybe, just maybe, we'll learn the meaning of life if we all just cooperated.

Q: Christians, what do you think God really wants of you
A: "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" - Micah 6:8.
Q: and do you really think you are doing it?
A: yes.

Some of the things He wants I do, some I do not. I am human and fail daily, but I'd like to think He is more pleased with me than disappointed.

The Scripture is rather clear: "He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? But to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
Sorry, I can't remember the reference.

I think He wants us to be kind, patient, spread the word about Him, be good parents & people.
I'm trying hard. But like most people, I need to try harder.
And like most people, if it wasn't for grace, I'd be sunk !
God Bless

Great question.
Add, and how are you sure it is God and not just your emotion or somebody else's selfish guidance?
Edit....
No1home2 - The bible also tells you to kill family members if they speak of other religions. So which parts one chooses to follow is clearly up to the individual.
