If you had to summarize why you do(n't) beleive in God into one sentence, what would that sentence be?

Mine: I don't believe in god because "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" (Carl Sagan), and there is NO evidence for God.

I disagree with you totally!!

God does exit, if you say that He doesn't exit then how on earth did we came into existence and everything that are placed on the earth?

God is real to me, and i als believe in Him and i think as a matter of fact that you also know and prehaps believe that he exist and that you don't want to except that, because if you truly didn't believed in Him then you wouldn't have ask this question in the first place!

God speak to us in many forms through the meduims of people, books, dreams and the Word (Bible).

It's just that we choose not to listen to Him, because we do not want to put in first in our lives!

I sincerely hope that you will encounter God some day and when that will happend you will change your mind about that!

Extreme claims require extreme evidence. Well now that is a coincidence. I wrote my answer without reading far enough to see that you said the same.

For me it does sum it up nicely. Because even if there is a god only god could give evidence of god. It really is the largest claim ever made. How could a human provide any evidence?

God made man 6073 years ago, the age of electricity, refrigeration, motor vehicles, covering the surface of the earth and WW1 to WW2, is evidence of
this, the book that explains the beginning of humankind began 3560 years ago, it says angel and man, earth and heaven need to be saved and all made new again, it sure does. Rev.21:1-5;

I do believe in god because "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" (Baggs), and there is evidence for God.

I just spoke to him this morning.

anyway, the same week I prayed for a new replacement for my computer monitor. i got one for free.

thats the most recent one.

i prayed one day at work that I was really tired.

I didnt have to do regular work that day, i ended up getting paid 85 bucks to carry a gray card and raising it up in the air about 20 times the whole day, just to shade the camera before taking a picture, someone else did all the work.

we have a prayer night on mondays and even though there were only a few of us, we can testify to our needs being met when we started the prayer group.

the pastor himself was about to die from a stomach ilness and they prayed over him, the doctors said he was about to die.
the next day he was 100% healed with no trace of the sickness.

there are other things like this that you probably wouldnt witness, you kinda wonder that when you don't even hang around believers.

even in the time of jesus, if you didnt hang out with jesus you obviously wouldnt see him do miracles.
the same with unbelievers, if you never seek real believers who really have a true dedication to God.

IM NOT TALKING ABOUT RITUALISTIC BELIEVERS.

IM TALKING ABOUT REAL FAITH BELIEVERS who actually do things than just the regular things.
Typically happens in my group, dont know where you live but im at illinois.

I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, no Saints, no Sinners, no Devil as well - no pearly gates, no thorny crowns, you're always letting us humans down with the wars you wage, the babes you drown, those lost at sea and never found...No Father, Son, no Holy Ghost - it's just somebody's unholy host, and if you're out there, you will see that it's my heart upon my sleeve, and there's one thing I don't believe in...it's you, Dear God.

...By "Faith", the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews, chapter 11 vs. 1) Dr. Sagan is dead... My Savior is alive... I have "eyewitness" testimony to prove it... (John, chapter 20, vs.24 thru 31).

It doesn't make any sense for the universe to be too complex to need a creator and that creator is several orders of magnitude more complex than the universe and did not need a creator himself.
