if they are really avid then they wouldn't behave the same way you would expect as those you have encountered before.

my mentor hosts a group every thursday and we have atheists come there all the time, one of them even professed that he turned to Christ.
even the leader himself used to be a non believer.
most of the people in the group were atheist at some point and thus they could understand the behavioral patterns that the typical bible thumping fanatic does and they know for one not to act that way.

I wonder what is with all the paranoia though.

If the group is really a christian group A REAL ONE. Then there is more to gain than to be lost.

But if the group just calls themselves christian without any real foundational proof, then yes the atheist needs to be afraid. VERY AFRAID.
heh EVEN I WILL BE AFRAID.
there is nothing scarier than a bunch of religious fanatics that dont really even believe what they read.

i personally believe that most of those people don't even study the bible to do anything about it but rather to feel good about how many verses they can memorize. that is just sad.

More than likely the Atheist will be safe. As long as the avid Christians aren't fundies, and as long as they don't talk religion.

No. Those "chirstans" will get him. They'll have him singing hymns, selling cookies to raise money for the orphans, taking lunches to the elderly widows and worst of all reading in the Bible.

Yes. I've never felt in danger around -most- Christians, especially in America.

Depends on whether the Christians are packing guns. Why is it so many Christians carry guns anyway?
