is it bad if i cut back on colories and then latter eat candy? But either way i wouldn normally get the same amount of calories, or is it worse to get calories from candy. I ate about 500 colories today from morning to lunch then i had about 300 calories from candy. Instead of having 800 calories from breakfast to lunch. Is this bad?

of course, they are empty calories. candy provides no usable nutrients in the form of anti-oxidants, vitamins or minerals. the source of your calories is more important than the actual calories themselves.

It is OK to do this but keep in mind that the calories from candy and soda are called "empty calories." You are not getting the vitamins you need from a nice balanced meal if you eat junk instead. Eat an apple. It will give you more energy than the caffeine in a cup of coffee, will fill you up from its fiber, and will give you some vitamins to help you stay healthy.

Laura the candy and the chocolate etc is a refined sugar that goes straight to the blood, it is not healthy for you in that does not allow the body to convert the food you eat to sugar to burn and there by stores that food as fat while you feed it sugar to burn. your desire for sweets is the body telling you need some protein, and the protein when you get it will stop the craving for the sugar. here is a website to look at for weight loss and some healthy alternatives http://www.loseweightnow.com/healthysolutions
check it out and see if you could do these instead of all the candy, good luck

Yeah it is kinda bad for you. I mean if you do it once in a while it isn't, but doing that daily or even a few times a week will add up. The ingredients in candy aren't good for you at all, lots of sugar, fat and carbs. It'd be more beneficial to eat a sandwich and it'd be a lot more filling too.

Yeah becauase sugar (actual refined cane sugar) has like....100 calories per TEASSPOON! Or something like that. I was looking at the back of a sugar packet and I saw that and I was like woah! So yeah that's a lot of calories for such a small amount of sugar.
