My fiance and I are planning to get secretly married before our wedding. We want to do a civil service ceremony with the justice of the peace. I can't find any information online. I don't know who to call. I went on the city's website and couldn't find it. We just want to go to the court and do it there. We live in Pensacola. Help please.

I'm in my 30's. I'm old enough to decide how I want to get married and I assure you I am mature. We have decided to do this for various reasons that I don't think I need to be explained because they are personal.

Congrats & good luck to you.

It would be a justice of the peace at the courthouse (county - clerk of court).

Please, make sure that the person conducting your big ceremony knows. It'd technically be a vow renewal, and you don't want to "offend" the wedding officiant.

Personally, I'd have no problem doing one, but would need to know in advance.

Hi. Why get married secretly and then have a WEDDING??? I'm confused! I thought a wedding is when you get married...not married first, then a wedding!

In any case, call the COUNTY CLERK'S office. There should be a listing for it online or in the phone book.

Google "marriage license in Pensacola, FL". The same place that issues marriage licenses can usually marry you.

If you have to get married secretly then you're not mature enough to be married, sorry.
