...then how does it make any sense to say that it was created by a God who must be several orders of magnitude more complex than the universe and did not need a creator himself? In fact, an all-powerful God is the most complex thing imaginable.

Theists get around this by saying their deity exists outside time and space, and is therefore not subject to the laws that he/she/it created. However, this poses a new problem, because by claiming a deity exists outside of time and space, that is effectively non-existence.

Very true---how is God able to create something from nothing by speaking it into existence? Or name all the stars? He has power, knowledge and wisdom beyond our comprehension and is eternal with no beginning or end. It's a hard concept for humans to understand or logically explain...it must be taken on faith.

The universe was created out of absolutely nothing by an omnipotent Being. Yet, it's complexity is MIRRORED after its creator. The universe still remains finite; although to us, it seems infinite because of who created it.

Especially since a diety violates causality and runs amuk with thermodynamics.
