okay, lets say i started dating a guy that im completely opposite of! he's a redneck type of guy but he is very funny and smart and sweet and i like him very much, but here's the problem: im a emo type person, we hang out with totally different crowds, different taste in everything, but we like each other very much. How do we make it work?

ive never dated anyone that was that different from me, so i need advice on how to make our relationship work long term!

Well, you must have something in common - a genre of movies or a food or anything?

Draw on your differences to find your strengths. Don't be afraid to try something that he likes just because it isn't what you or your friends would do. You may find you like something he does, or a song by his favorite band, or some of his friends. Be open and willing to have new experiences together. You don't have to have everything in common, but there does need to be some common ground. Remember why you like each other in the first place and go from there.

opposites attract...if you like someone, you make it work. doesn't matter that other people think. by the way the "emo" thing is a phase and you (along with the rest of the world) will be over it soon.

well being in a realationship is about compermising. say u go on a date; one date u do things he like then the next u things that u like. just becasue ur the total opposite doesn't mean that u can't malke it work. remember opposite attract!!!

Relationships are about compromise. If you guys really care about each other then that other stuff is insignificant and really won't matter too much.

to stay in this relationship you both have to comprmise. just introduce him to things that you like to do and be open to do some of the things that he enjoys. if the two of you continue to work at this then i think your alls relationship will survive.

well maybe you can go out.
Try things he likes but he should try things you like.
Maybe you could both see how you look with one another's style.
And it's not a style that boys like, its what your like inside
