I'm a 48 year old single guy who wants to have a baby. How do I find a good woman?

Well, you don't have to have a woman to have a baby. You can find a surrogate mother or you can adopt, which I think is a wonderful option. There are thousands of children who need a parent to take care of them and love them.....I recommend adoption if all you want is a child....it's kinda sick to find a woman just to impregnate to get a kid....unless that woman willingly agrees to it. Seriously consider adoption. A male your age, who has a stable income and home, could easily adopt a child...

First of all, you have waited a long time, so don't expect some 40-year-old has abstained from marriage just for you. I would imagine you will either have to entertain the idea of a fertile woman who already has kids giving you yours, or you have the unenviable task of convincing some college student essentially into a May-August relationship.

Either way, it's still possible but you'll have to work at it. I STRONGLY suggest you start making money as hard and fast as you can if you think you want a family right away.

1. The deeper the nest, the more likely a female will lay eggs in it.
2. You know as well as I do kids cost big bucks for 20-25 years.

Well that depends if you have time. This isn't something that you can just jump into and marry the next and get her pregnant the other.

Try putting yourself out there.
Make a list.. What kind of women do I want? I.E. religious, nice, outgoing, funny, wild, crazy, etc.
This will help you think of a good place to meet someone.
Start joining online dating sites.
Look for someone who is seeking what you are seeking.

Or you can just do mail order bride.. You pick..

Well you'll have to get out there and meet some women who have the same motivations and of course someone you're going to hit it off with and live with for the rest of your life (if you are looking for a structured family environment).

But if you are comfortable with being a single parent for the time being, have you considered adoption? Or becoming a foster parent?

Regardless of how "good" a woman is-you must be compatible with her before even considering bringing a child into the world with her. Parents in conflict can be devastating for a child. Look for love first. You know the childhood poem...

I think its a matter of timing. You wont meet her online, in a bar, or at a club. I think if you go out where nice ladies are you may meet one. Also, you are 48 and its getting late for you to have children IMO.

You need a good "young" woman. Get in shape and find a church or civic group where young women congregate. Wow! You'll keep your heart young enjoying nights with a woman in her 20's.

Go to church or go to a dating service. You will obviously want someone who is 10-20 years younger than you if you want her to conceive your child. If not, you may have to try adoption if the woman is your age.

You could always adopt, but if you are looking for a family then obviously just go with your gut and find the one you want to start that family with. Go out, try new things! You will find that lady :)
