You know, I've never asked my vet for a discount, but many a times she has given me a break on my bill just out of the kindness of her heart!!

Pet insurance probably won't help. A lot of plans won't cover routine care or pre-existing conditions. And most consider any animal over 5 years old a senior and the premiums go way up. To cover my animals it would cost me over $300 a month. My own insurance isn't that expensive!
A lot of vets won't give a discount only because if they do it for you they have to do it for everyone. Then they end up losing way too much money. But some vets will only charge you for one office visit if you bring all three dogs in at the same time.
You may want to look into getting a Care Credit card:

Also, for routine vaccinations you can either do them yourself (everything except rabies) or find a low-cost clinic in your area.
Good luck!

I currently have 4 cats, 6 dogs (3 are 6 week old pups), 1 rabbit and a ferret. I get major discounts at my vets!!! I cant afford pet insurance monthy for all mine, some of them are "seniors" so the cost of the insurance is way more than what I would pay at my vet. My vet charges $30.00 for a routine visit but discounts me for bringing them in together. Talk to your vet, as long as you are willing to give consistent care and bring them there usually they will work something out

I didn't even have to ask...my vet told me that they offer 1/3 off all services for people who own more than 2 pets. I would definitely ask about a discount, even try to negotiate one if they don't offer one. If you are vetting 6 animals with them, I would think a discount is in order (unless you are already paying much less than the standard rates in your area).

It never hurts to ask and you will never know until you do. The vet should appreciate that you care for these animals and care about their health. Maybe they can offer a payment program. Or you can try your local animal shelter for low cost clinics.

Give it a try, it can't hurt to ask. Many vets give people who breed, or people who rescue a discount, cause they bring in more dogs, and more business to them. If you are taking in that much business, it can't hurt to ask.

it is quite common for vets to offer discounts to multi-pet households using the same vet. that doesn't mean yours will honor your request - but it doesnt hurt to ask.
