Not much... Depending on where they were hit. The eye for example would do some damage. But the back of the head would probably not be damaged. Depending on the power of the pistol. I don't know of any CO2 pistols that would be able to penetrate the skull.

1) Good luck jamming that [almost] 1/4" pellet into the 3/16" hole. Hope you have a good CO2 cartridge to push it out the barrel. 2) Don't know how you're gonna get that pellet out of the .22 rifle without powder. Air guns and real guns operate on slightly different principles. I would not recommend loading a .22 cal pellet inti the barrel of a .22 cal rifle then shooting off a round of .22 cal ammunition. If nothing gets jammed and creates an explosive overpressure situation in the gun barrel, the pellet will blow apart (the technical term is disintegrate) because of the spin the barrel rifling will impart. But probably the .22 rifle bullet will run up the skirt of the pellet and force it into the rifling creating a possible overpressure situation. .

Well...... you got the answers from all the "experts."
Now, do you want an realistic answer?
For a factory stock Co2 hand gun, depending on the range,
you can break skin. Shot at the head, you will penetrate the skull, it can possibly kill. For a factory stock Co2 rifle, it will penetrate deeper into skin. Shot at the head, it will kill. Remember, this all depends on what range the shot was taken from. For tuned (modified) guns, power will increase drastically. A tuned Co2 rifle shooting a 14.3 grain pellet at 850 fps will produce 22.9 ft lbs. That's more than enough power to kill a person shot in the head at 30 yards.

note: several years ago, perhaps 10 or so, a little girl ran across her neighbor's back yard. he shot at the kids and hit her. she DIED, about 5 hours later. this is documented in the Minneapolis, MN newspapers.
I know that it is a freak accident. You needn't point that out.
But she died because the BB passed between two ribs and lodged in the aorta, obstructing blood flow to the heart and also allowing blood to leak into the lung wall effectively she died of massive, but slow internal hemorrhage.
I believe that she was about 2 or 3 years old.

The damage will most likely occur when the person you shoot beats the hell out of you for shooting them. That will be far worse than the damage a co2 pellet pistol will do to them.

At the very least a blood bruise or shallow penetration depending on where the "victim" was hit.. Worst case scenario, if hit in the eye or ear, it could easily kill or maim someone.Doesn't take much pressure to penetrate the eye and go into the brain. It concerns me why you are asking this.Do you intend to try it?

in the wrong place any thing can kill its as simple as that but i dont think it could kill maybe penetrate the skin or cause bruising depends on the pellet though if you use steel there is more chance of penetration

If shot at close range it will pierce the skin. That's about the most damage it can do though.
