People report what they don't want to hear...

I don't know how Yahoo would enforce that idea. I think the best thing is, if you don't understand a question, either ask for clarification or ignore it. There are some questions that make no sense to me so I don't even bother with them.

No.

Every time you report a question, there should be a "Yes" box that you have to click to indicate you understand the question.

No, they should ask for clarification instead.

Then again, I got a question deleted this morning for wishing everyone in R&S a good morning...some people are just out to get you no matter what I suppose.

I'd suggest that Yahoo! applied an IQ test before enabling the Report button...

Probably not, but unfortunately the report button doesn't have an ignorance filter.

i think it's spiritually wrong to report, especially what you dont understand. it indicates ignorance and lack of magnanimosity (had to put that word in).

I think they should refrain from reporting people when they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

I would say no.

Just because you don't understand a question, doesn't automatically mean that it's nonsensical, but I'd wager it was either obtuse or too technical.

They certainly shouldn't, but they do, all the time.

The reporting mechanism is a disaster.
