I've been in several. My last one was a couple of years ago. I was rear ended. I went to physical therapy for about 8 months. I thought I was never going to get better. In fact, I'm still not 100%. I don't guess I'll ever be completely over it. But at least I'm alive and well and no one was seriously injured. Good luck. 2D

I've been in four relatively serious accidents (i.e. a vehicle was disabled). One involved getting hit by a Camaro doing 90+ on a state highway. One involved being hit by an out-of-control van on a snowy road (though most of the damage there was to the van). One time I was riding with a dude who just zoned out for whatever reason and rear-ended someone at about 40 mph. And lastly, I had a stabilizer bar break on a wet road, which resulted in a sudden halt against a tree.

I was traveling a road that I had gone down a hundred times. I wasn't speeding but I looked away from the road for a moment. That's all it took. When I looked back in front of me a pick-up truck had stopped and I was too close.
At this point it was like everything started to move in slow motion. I grabbed the steering wheel and stepped on the brakes with both feet. I could hear the plastic start to break and the metal start to bend. Then everything went blank.
The next thing I remember was sitting there holding a steering wheel that was bent over about three inches. I had a bloody nose from the airbag and powder burns on my wrists from where it blew out. Later I had a nice bruise on my chest from the seat belt. I was still dazed and choking on the powder from the airbag. It took me a while to pull myself together.
The crash totaled my Astro van. The other driver received minor injuries from some glass.

I was rear ended when I was about 19 years old. My brother and sister were in the car with me when it happened and my sister, 17 at the time, had to be taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital because the EMS responding thought she had hurt her back. They had to take my brother too because he was a minor (15 yrs. old) and I had to stay to do the police report. Talk about being anxious...I didn't know if she was ok or not.
She went to the hospital and they thought they saw a crack in her spine and then sent her to another hospital...well, since she was a minor the hospital was causing me grief about treating her without my dad there with the insurance...so it took me about 5 hours to track him down and for him to get to the hospital..all the while my sister laying in a back brace in the ER. They wouldn't do anything until my dad got there.
I always thought that hospitals had to treat you, but I guess not. I did some research into this after that incident and learned that a hospital is required by law to treat all patients..their punishment if they do not (at that time)........ only about a $10,000 fine (in some cases even if the patient dies because of the lack of treatment). So apparently my sister's health wasn't worth it to them.
She lived and all, but still suffers from severe back problems that possibly could have been prevented. We were told later that she shouldn't have been in the brace that long and it caused more damage.
Sorry so long, but that is my story!

yes i got flattened out by a tractor and trailer back in the 70,s and was left for dead, but i survived it,they guy who ran over me and my car wound up in Florida and never even got a fine for it,later on when i went to see the car i was in shock, i couldn't believe that a car which had been a 74 Chevy Vega gt could be crushed so small it only stood 3 foot tall after the crash, some how i made it through that one,i guess may be because i was young ,i don't really know, thing is ,that's the day i started living again, and looked at life with a different view, its a shame it took a near death experience to wake me up,when i think back on it though, it honestly scares the hell out of me,and i often wonder how any didn't make it through something like this, evidently i had a better purpose in life, good luck.

Yes I have.
I was going Downtown to the mall with my boyfriend and is nephew and his girlfriend we were at a stop light to turn left once the we had the right away. My boyfriend was driving then"Bam" we were hit
the other truck was going really fast just for the main streets and the passenger on the other side was not wear her seat belt and her head was split open cause she hit the wind shield.
But there saying it was our fault that the light turned yellow but there is no yellow light it's a second green light. Ours was totaled and you can tell that they rally slammed the brakes.
But the truck we were driving we borrowed from my boyfriends dad and he was out of town and oh boy did he have a fit.
We never made it to the mall!

Two.
The first one three men were chasing me and I ran into a big steel gate trying to get away from them and totalled my car. This was before the days of seat belts, but I had NOT been drinking.
The second one I was going around a curve on a hill and ran off the side of the road. It was night and I was on an unfamiliar road in my Jeep. The Jeep rolled over several times and slid several hundred feet. I am lucky to be here to tell the tale--but I also had NOT been drinking and was wearing my seat belt.

A little bumper damage is all I got. Knocked my taillights loose.
However, the Ford that hit me was totaled.
A little fender bender - his fenders were folded back to his windshield.
