do you get blessed more for living in tougher circumstances ?

I wouldn't use the word blessed. I do believe God strengthens us through trials. How do you get better at sports? You go through grueling practices and training- it prepares you for when the big game gets there, right? I believe we can grow through the tough times, and that God uses those times to make us stronger and maybe open our eyes to see things we didn't see before. Sometimes I feel He uses those tough times to draw us closer to Him, too. (Christians are never in prayer more than during a crisis- sad but true....)

i've been living with some pretty tough circumstances all my life and I haven't been blessed yet!
